The Acronis True Image Linux Agent is a component of Acronis True Image Enterprise Server that allows you to remotely manage backup and restoration tasks on Linux servers in your network. How does the Acronis® True Image Linux Agent work? Step 1: Open the Acronis® True Image Enterprise Server executable file and extract the Linux Agent Step 2: Connect to the Linux server where you want to install the Agent using third-party software such as telnet or another shell client Step 3: Upload the Agent installation files to the Linux server and perform installation using standard Linux commands Once the Linux Agent is installed, you can manage backup and restoration of this server from the Acronis Management Console like any other Windows server in your network. The agent performs all of the tasks on the remote system. In an all-Linux environment, you will need at least one Windows-based system, such as a laptop, desktop or server, on which to run Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server, Acronis Management Console, Backup Server and Group Server. |
